Hannah Borchardt, BSN RN

Hannah cared for my husband. He was rushed from PCU after the day nurse recognized that he was unresponsive, with a BP of 60, and called the rapid response team and Dr. J. Her quick and efficient care helped save his life. Hannah diligently watched his vital signs all day and made nursing judgments and titrated some medications which were rapidly added. She had added expertise in 24-hour dialysis and set up and started it and monitored it all day. Hannah made fast decisions when my husband was in A-fib and multiple adjustments to his medications. She explained multiple procedures to me and some family members. Her thoughtful interactions with co-workers were impressive. She inspired confidence and stayed calm in some scary situations. When my husband woke up after being non-responsive all day, we all were amazed and thankful to God and to Hannah. She used extra comfort measures to keep him comfortable and adjusted his position while he was attached to so many tubes. She seems to intuitively know things that inspire hope in the patient and the family.
