Sweet Hannah came into our lives when my mom, sister, and I waited for the doctor to round in SICU, knowing my sister was worsening and her prognosis was not good. Sweet Hannah gently touched my mom's shoulder and didn't leave us while the doctor talked with us. After the doctor left, Sweet Hannah explained what we hadn't heard, helped us understand the steps and honored our wishes to start looking at the process of organ donation.

My parents, my sister and I were all making tough decisions with the donation process and Hannah never left us. We never had to say a word. She was there advocating for us, asking our questions, and simply staying with us. She saw us, heard us, smiled with us, and laughed with us. Hannah continued to care for my sister honoring her dignity and giving her respect with every encounter while we waited for her to become a hero through organ donation.

Hannah wasn't only a nurse, she was our angel. She came in our worst moments and remained. She gave exceptional care and loved our family. She advocated for us, supported us, and stayed with us.
