Hannah recently called a patient about a medication refill. While on the phone, that patient reported being suicidal. The patient did not want Hannah to call 911 for a welfare check but instead said she would drive herself to the hospital to be evaluated. Hannah stayed on the phone for over an hour with the patient while the patient drove to the hospital and checked into the ED. During this phone call, Hannah did an amazing job keeping the patient calm, focused, and safe. The patient was able to make it to the ED and receive the help she needed.
