My husband has been in the hospital for two weeks due to a staph infection and subsequent heart valve replacement.
Hannah has been his nurse for some of the days we have been on the Cardiac floor. She is amazing. She is very informed keeping track of his surgeries and his condition--not an easy task as he has had several procedures. And she always made sure I was updated with any news.
And her skills as a nurse are very evident with every IV change medication explanation and explaining upcoming procedures to us. Most of all she has been so very compassionate in every encounter with my husband as well as encouraging and complimenting his progress on an especially hard day.
She made me feel confident that I was leaving him in good hands at the end of the day. She would take extra time to discuss my husband's mental well-being as well as his physical condition. If it weren't for COVID I would have hugged her many times a day. I don't think she realized what it meant to me in such a stressful situation. I am so very grateful for her help.
