Hannah Gilkey, BSN, RN

My daughter was brought in for wound care and ended up getting admitted to Edward Naperville. The entire staff at this facility deserves kudos and all the awards, but Hannah truly embodies the standards set forth by the DAISY Award Foundation, and this nomination is a testament to her passion for patient care, education, and professionalism.

Upon our arrival at the Plainfield ER, Hannah, RN, immediately made us feel comfortable, especially my daughter, who experiences high levels of medical anxiety, and her situation was of note. Hannah is an exemplary RN.

I have never felt compelled to nominate another RN so soon after a positive experience with fellow nursing professionals. Hannah is applauded for her calm demeanor, professionalism and lovely personality; she also showed her caring through her storytelling and humanity, her living by example was a great example to my daughter and her explanations in the moment were so down to earth and real that they resonated with my daughter. We appreciate her attention to detail and her care and compassion. Very much deserving of this DAISY recognition.
