I was blessed by Hannah taking care of me during my stay at St. Joseph's. She is amazing. I have had the privilege of her taking care of me three different times. I met Hannah prior to my surgery and then after my surgery, her shifts fell two times during my stay. I was so excited to see her knowing I would not be let down. I first found her to be calm and considerate while I asked a 100 questions (probably redundant) and she answered them without blinking an eye. She is very professional. She laughed when I laughed and during an extremely busy time during her shift. The nurses' computers are seeing distance when I have my door opened and if she were there and I called her name for something as simple as getting me water or pulling up my socks, she did not call her tech, she handled it. She worked so hard yet always took the time to make me feel I was her number one priority patient. She always asked, "is there anything else I can do for you"? She always, so professionally, addressed me by my name. She knew that my IV was very sensitive in the area it was placed. She noticed it as she was truly doing her job, in that as a nurse she knew things I would not have noticed. My arm became very swollen and she saw it without me knowing. She had an IV specialist take care of the situation knowing it was sensitive and could have been a dangerous blockage. The same thing happened and she attended to it knowing she had more patients than anyone could handle. She was so knowledgeable and she practiced just that. Hannah was on top of my needs and well-being as if I were her family member. Also, upon my discharge, I had no ride. She politely called Social Work and arranged an Uber for me. Unbelievable, then, she offered to have my prescriptions filled here knowing I could not pick them up elsewhere because I did not have a vehicle todo so. She did not have to voluntarily help me. Last, I told her I did not have the money for the prescription and she said she would call a social worker to help me. I told her it was ok and that I could come back tomorrow. She insisted and now I am again blessed because I do not have to arrange a ride tomorrow. She knew I needed my medications. She did not once complain or dismiss my needs.
