My father was admitted for weakness and shortness of breath. He was very nervous as well as cranky. Being in the hospital really increases his anxiety, as he feels he is losing his independence. The first day he was here, he was unable to get up by himself and was instructed to use the call bell. When he hit the call bell, Hannah would immediately enter the room and assist him to the restroom.

She NEVER made him feel like he was a bother or nuisance. One day, when he learned he would be discharged with oxygen, he became very upset and not very nice. Hannah came into the room and never once had an irritated tone in her voice (as she could have, and it would have been understood). She even provided him words of comfort and encouragement to help him feel better.

The best part is that she is at least 7 months pregnant and never complained! She is a true example of Nursing, caring, and compassion, and all patients would be lucky to have her care for them!

Thank you, Hannah J., for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
