Hannah continually goes out of her way for not only her patients but her coworkers as well. On Christmas, she brought a miniature tree and lights and ornaments for a patient who had been telling her what a big holiday it was for his family. He mentioned that he was heartbroken he could not continue with the tradition this year. Hannah stayed in the patient's room after BSSR to help him decorate the tree. The patient kept profusely thanking Hannah and she was the most modest and said it was no big deal. Hannah continues to make patients who are in tough spots feel welcomed and cared for. She shows patients that it truly is the little things that help to make a difficult stay in the hospital go a little bit better. She goes past the role of just passing meds and doing dressing changes and shows that she takes the time to truly know her patients.
