I recently gave birth to a healthy baby girl. I have had all 3 of my children at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo and never have I met a nurse like Hannah Krencik. A few days before my due date my fiancé and I noticed that the baby was not being as active as she usually was and stopped in to monitor her heart rate. That was the first time Hannah graced us with her beautiful presence. Very well spoken, kind, and had an outstanding sense of humor. She monitored closely and reassured us our baby was fine. In and out with no problems! She did her job without missing a beat.
A few days later at home, my water broke and back to labor and delivery we go! Hannah was the first nurse to enter my room followed by a doctor who delivered my baby. Hannah asked all medical questions that were needed. I was in no mood to get up and walk with how awful my contractions were but with how politely she asked me to try a little bit she got me to walk for over an hour. She made sure I had enough fluids as well as my fiance. She kept him as involved as she could. This was his first and she helped him know what to do. When I got my epidural I'm pretty sure I broke one of her fingers. Having a needle put into my spine with 6cm contractions without moving is close to impossible but thanks to her I was able to focus on breathing and staying calm. She asked about my kids, my family, and before I knew it, it was over. Mercy Hospital is blessed to have a woman like this. I couldn't tell her enough how great she was! I feel if she could have done more for me she would have. Thank you, Hannah!
