Hannah's bedside manor is impeccable. She always makes our son smile and she also puts a smile on our face.
From the start Hannah McDevitt has been extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. When we first started having Hannah as a nurse for our son he was intubated and awaiting his fourth heart surgery. Not only was she on top of his care, but she advocated for our son to get his surgery as soon as possible. Due to her persistence we were able to get him into surgery two days later. When he got back from surgery Hannah took phenomenal care of him, she answered every single check-in phone call from us, and gave us all of the information leaving us with little to no questions for her. Hannah always explained everything in a way that we could understand and encouraged us to ask any and all questions we had.
Fast forward a week and our son had an unexpected emergency. After developing a spontaneous pneumothorax and getting re-intubated he developed a very bad hemothorax that required immediate attention. Even though Hannah was not our son's main nurse she was there to help in any way that she could. From running to get medications, delegating duties, and updating us to even comforting us during this chaotic time. Unfortunately I was not able to be there during this occurrence, but my husband was. I came in the following day and Hannah hugged me and consoled me. I knew that I was okay to leave the hospital with Hannah being his nurse because she truly never leaves his room, she is always watching him. She brings us so much comfort knowing that she will always advocate for our child.
Hannah's bedside manor is impeccable. She always makes our son smile and she also puts a smile on our face. She has a way of making the situation lighter than it is, which helps us get through it. I hope that all kiddos and families at Dell get to have Hannah as their nurse.
