My sister's father-in-law was diagnosed with metastatic cancer and was admitted to ICU. Once we arrived at the unit every aspect of his care changed. The nurse in charge, Hannah was sweet, caring, and compassionate to his needs. She was so great explaining everything. He was resting and comfortable in her care, and a few hours later he passed away. My sister and brother-in-law have asked me to nominate Hannah for the DAISY award. I believe she deserves recognition because after she took over our loved one's care there was a sense of peace and calmness to the crazy hectic week, and she helped the family come to terms with the loss.
