As a recent patient of your facility, I felt it necessary to comment on the care I received while in your Medical/Pediatrics unit. In particular, I would like to discuss the care that I received from Hannah S.

Having been diagnosed with congestive heart failure, I had a million questions/concerns and felt in need of immediate answers. Hannah came into my room and was the recipient of the immediate surge of all of my concerns. She was not only very professional and full of empathy but first made sure the treatment I was receiving was appropriate. She then proceeded to address my concerns. Hannah never once stepped outside of her bounds as a Nurse. She answered all the questions she could, then referred me to my doctor for the questions that she could not readily answer. As a true professional, she knew where and what her limits were. Her quick responses and depth of answers reassured me and made me feel very much at ease. As a Nurse, she demonstrated to me compassionate care and that she certainly has the clinical expertise. Hannah is genuinely a nice person.

I heard about The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, and this young woman deserves such an Award. In my mind, Hannah is deserving of the Award due to her dedication to her job, the care she provides, and her positive and reassuring attitude. Thank you for having so many caring, considerate and compassionate team members.
