I would like to thank Hannah so much for her kindness. Unfortunately, I do not know her last name. I imagine she is a newer nurse, but with the heart of gold she has she will go very far in her career. I asked her if she would hold W. as he passed, as I did not have the strength to do so. She met with us and with much grace and love assured us he would pass peacefully and in her arms. She assured me that she would pray over him during that transition. As a mother who battled all week the hope for her baby to survive, then the acceptance that he was going to pass; having Hannah in those last hours allowed my mama heart to know he was in perfect hands. Due to the compassion she showed us that night, she is very deserving of this DAISY Award. She was so compassionate and ETCH should feel so blessed having Hannah on the front line in the ICU caring for babies and parents. Thank you, Hannah!
