I want to commend Hannah Wood for the compassionate care she provided to her patient and his family during such a difficult time. A couple of weeks ago, a patient presented in cardiac arrest and she immediately volunteered to be the primary nurse. She did a wonderful job providing education and comfort to the family throughout each step of the care process, making sure to answer any question that they may have had. She had a very calming effect on the family. Hannah consistently lives the Genesis mission and uses AIDET in every patient encounter. She always maintains a positive attitude and is eager to assist her coworkers whenever needed. She is a great asset and the ED is very lucky to have her as part of the team!
