I am honored to nominate Hanneli for the DAISY Award in recognition of the exceptional care, compassion, and teamwork she brings to our emergency department every single day. From the very beginning, she has made a lasting impression through her consistently positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine dedication to both her patients and colleagues. Every time I have the opportunity to work alongside Hanneli, I feel incredibly grateful. She is the kind of nurse everyone hopes to have on their shifts- someone who is always willing to step in, lend a hand, and support the team without hesitation. She never says no when someone is in need, and her reliability is something we all deeply value.

I was caring for a Level One trauma patient and was tied up one-on-one for several hours. Without me even asking, Hanneli stepped in and took it upon herself to watch over my other patients. She ensured they were cared for, medicated them when needed, collected labs, and made sure everyone was comfortable and not overlooked during a very busy and critical time. There are so many moments in this job where I’ve wished for an extra set of hands, but with Hanneli by my side, she is always that support when I need it most.

What truly sets Hanneli apart is not only her teamwork, but the compassionate care she provides to every patient she encounters. She treats each individual with kindness, empathy, and respect, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and cared for during what is often a stressful and vulnerable time. Her warm energy and genuine concern for others make a meaningful difference in the patient experience.
