Harleigh was my nurse during my labor and delivery of our fourth child. I would like to thank her and let her know she did an amazing job. I do know Harleigh so I asked for her when I arrived. I knew she would take care of me, but I was not expecting the extent of amazing care I would receive.
I am pretty natural so I always try to do things as natural as possible without medicine if possible, which I am sure can be frustrating. During this labor, it tended to just draw things out, yet Harleigh stood by us and encouraged me to try to stick to my birth plan and do what it took to make that happen. During the worst part of my labor, she even asked for our massage oil and massaged my back. Never have I had a nurse take that much of an extra effort to make me comfortable.
Harleigh was calm and kind throughout the entire process. She helped talk me through my decisions especially when it came down to having to have an epidural and ultimately a c-section. She also said a prayer for me while I laid on the operating table before they started which meant the world to me. She is definitely the most thoughtful nurse I believe I could have had.
All of my nurses during the stay were amazing and my experience at St. Francis was great.
