Harley Buckner, LPN

All of CSD is very proud of Harley Buckner. He has been accepted into the RN Program! But he has many many times gone above and beyond for his patients and co-workers. He has had patients that were saddened when he was their nurse several nights and then was pulled to another floor and was not their nurse for that night. I have witnessed this and spoken with several patients about this. He has made a big impact on his patients. He is always there for his co-workers as well. If someone's patient declined he never hesitated to jump in help, even down to the smaller things like an admission or help the CNAs. He is also known to come in extra when needed to help when staffing is short. He has great critical thinking along with wonderful assessment skills. He has caught several times when a patient just didn't look right but all vitals were still stable before the patient started declining. A very good well-rounded nurse!! Can't even imagine what time and more experience will bring out of him. I appreciate all of his help and am honored to have the chance to work with him.
