From the first time we met, she was amazing. She showed true compassion. She took the time to get to know me and my husband. She listened, cared for, engaged, and encouraged him at all times. The best part of it all was the fact that she was constantly keeping me informed. But that’s not why I am nominating her. The reason why is something a lot of people struggle to do. She CONNECTED with us. This is so rare! She would tell us her experience as a nurse, and even shared a very personal and deep story about something that happened to her family member and how it impacted her family…It was one of her biggest lessons. My husband [is] internally grateful for all she has done. Even the smallest things, like making sure my husband was comfortable and even took the time to feed him. She cut his food for him, poured his milk for him, and always made sure he completely finished eating what he wanted before cleaning his area. She is the only person I have witnessed and immediately believed; she defines and would proudly represent this award. Thank you!
