It is a wonderful and indescribable feeling.
I am a nurse in the Labor and Delivery room to help our patients give birth. In this role, my duties will involve helping mothers go through labor by assisting with pain management and pushing toward delivery. After delivery, I will provide patient care as the new mothers recover.

To succeed as a labor and delivery As a nurse, I need more than just technical skills. I will care for women in labor during low—and high-intervention deliveries, and I will need to approach every patient with care and empathy, treating each woman as a unique individual experiencing one of the most significant moments of her life.

I studied at King Saud University for Health Sciences and obtained a bachelor’s degree in nursing. After that, I worked in the Maternity and Children’s Hospital in Al-Ahsa for 4 years. I then obtained a master’s degree from King Saud University in Riyadh. Now, I work in the delivery room at the Royal Commission Hospital in Jubail Industrial City.

It is a wonderful and indescribable feeling. When they announced my name as a winner of the Daisy Award, I was actually surprised. I am proud of myself.
