The feeling of comfort and relief for us is indescribable. We don't fear the spinal taps anymore, and neither does our son. And it's all thanks to this nurse.
As our son was diagnosed and admitted for acute lymphatic leukemia in October 2021, we have way more than just one story to share that demonstrates the extraordinary care that this nurse provides. We never knew people like her existed. Those who would go out of their way like she does, to keep the patient and parents happy and comfortable.

Every time we are admitted, either for chemo or for any complication we may have, she makes sure to play with our son until he is comfortable and happy. She doesn't rush, she doesn't stress, and she doesn't intimidate. Thanks to her, our son (21 months old) doesn't have the trauma of going down to OT for a spinal tap with general anesthesia anymore. What used to be very stressful and scary for him (and for us), has turned into a happy event where she will sing for him and play with him until it's "time to sleep".

The last time, he was in this nurse’s arms jumping and dancing, on a fasting stomach, singing baby shark, and waiting for his turn. The feeling of comfort and relief for us is indescribable. We don't fear the spinal taps anymore, and neither does our son. And it's all thanks to this nurse. This is just one example of everything she has done and is doing for our family. She is truly an angel.
