May 2023 Honoree
Haylee Oliver, RN
I spent much of last week at AGH in and out of the ICU for a pericardial effusion, placement of a drainage window, and finally cardioversion to get me back into rhythm. Under the leadership of Dr. B and Dr. L, a wonderful cardiac and surgery team, and a host of nursing and skilled care personnel, I was able to get back home this week thankfully. Throughout the weeklong effort, I was impressed with each and everyone I met who helped me through it all, but there was one particular nurse that was my MVP for the week. I nominate her for the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses to thank her from the bottom of my heart.
Haylee Oliver was extraordinary in so many ways and helped me through some very difficult days. Her sheer energy and professionalism were truly extraordinary-her dedication to getting it right and following through was astounding and I was thankful every day for all her efforts to help me through the ordeal.
