I attended a wedding today. It was the most amazing event I have ever attended and when I left I was so moved I cried.
The reason it was so moving was that it had all been arranged in under 24 hours, for a patient who had just happened to mention he wished he could have got married.
The likelihood is, this gentleman will be put on the pathway later today, but because of this very special nurse, he got his wish.
He not only got his wish but so did several (20ish) members of his and his new wife's family.
His room had candles, banners, flowers, and pretty lights. There were champagne and cakes, all arranged in less than a day, especially when you consider Hayley was on a long day yesterday.
What makes it even more outstanding for me is this young lady has only been qualified for 6 months. Such a level of care and compassion is truly exemplary, Hayley is truly a DAISY Nurse.
