Hazel was the most amazing nurse I have come in contact with. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and taken care of. She fought for a new bed when she knew mine was broken. I watched her smile and encourage every patient and co-worker that crossed her path. She was truly my guardian angel watching over me, helping me heal and to feel comfortable enough to do so. Hazel helped me to feel empowered and encouraged me every step of the way. I could list at least 4 other nurses that were just as helpful but each of those nurses looked to Hazel with respect and appreciated her just like I did and do. Today I am happy to be coming home but am sad that I will not be able to say goodbye to my angel, my Valkyrie Ms. Hazel.

Ms. Hazel, you are a hero, you are a protector and an inspiration. You bring stubborn women together and you make the room brighter with your smile. No mask will ever hide that. Thank you for being you. I am forever grateful.
