I am an 18 year old who had a stroke and was admitted to the ICU. I waited in the Emergency Room for a long time because there were not enough nurses to cover the open beds. Heather came in especially for me and was my ICU nurse for my 2 day stay.
I was very scared that this happened (as was my mom), and Heather took much of her time to explain what happened, she answered all of the dozens of questions we asked and she did so while smiling. She was so knowledgeable and we missed her after my discharge from the hospital. She didn't have to come in on her day off, but we are so glad that she did.
