Heather Baldwin went out of her way to design and make this holiday gift a reality.
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced most of us to be separated from our families and loved ones for the holidays. For many of our patients, this was an incredibly lonely December. However, one kind-hearted nurse could not bear the thought of our patients spending the holidays far from home. Heather Baldwin went out of her way to design and make this holiday gift a reality. She had the kind spirit to bring together the nursing staff in Unit 10-5 MS and collect funds to provide patients with a holiday gift.
Even though she had just ended her three-night shifts in a row, with the last one being 16 hours, she chose to show up at the hospital, dress as Santa, and deliver the gifts to every patient. The patients were overjoyed at this surprise holiday party; some were even moved to tears at this kind gesture. Her efforts to make this holiday season just a little bit brighter shows extraordinary character, and we want to let her know that she is appreciated.
