A patient stated that he was in pain and very ill, but he was insisting to be discharged AMA, after speaking with the physician. It was not until after Heather spoke with him about how serious his condition was at the time of his visit and showed genuine concern for his wanting to leave AMA, that he decided to stay and be admitted. He said that it is very rare to find people that are willing to take the time to explain and actually show genuine concern for someone else.
