Heather provided comfort in a time when we all needed that caring person – she is a special nurse and we are grateful.
Heather was so kind when she answered my light. I said I needed my nurse and she said I am a nurse and I can help you.

She called me back and got the doctor on the phone- she answered all my questions in a way I could understand.

She was a part of the family meeting- she helped me and my family make a decision that was hard- she provided comfort in a time when we all needed that caring person – she is a special nurse and we are grateful.

She was there when I needed her – she took care of my Mom when I could not come in. She was an angel.

Even though she had all that equipment on – I could tell by her eyes that she cared.

Interacts with patients, families, and staff in a professional manner. We feel cared for when we hear Heather on the call.

Heather rounds with the physicians/NP. Talks to the medical team multiple times a day to keep them abreast of clinical as well as the emotional aspect of patient care needs and quality care delivery. Goes above and beyond daily to ensure all patients are treated with respect and dignity. She is not afraid to discuss end of life/comfort care wishes with the team and the patient.
