Heather Callen, BSN, RN

Heather was my daughter’s nurse for several days in a row and again when she was readmitted to the ICU. She went above and beyond. On my daughter’s birthday, she decorated the room with streamers and painted her toenails her favorite color. She took her outside in a wheelchair a couple of times to enjoy the sunshine. When she came back to MICU, Heather helped her shower, combed out the knots in her hair, and provided out of her own pocket detangler for her hair and delicious lotion for her body. She always spoke calmly and on my daughter’s level. Even though we did not understand much, she explained everything so clearly and was patient with both of us.
