March 2022 Honoree
Heather Case, BSN, RN, OCN
My mom died recently. She was in the ER for hours and was finally moved upstairs at 6:45 p.m. Heather was about to go off shift but she took the time to make sure we were settled in. After the next nurse came on and they shared information, Heather still came back to check on us. Mom died peacefully and with dignity. When I called for help, the team came in to pay respects to Mom. The team also allowed me to tell them about my mom, a retired nurse of 40+ years. Heather was so thoughtful to bring me some food and made sure I ate something (I’m diabetic). I am forever grateful for the care and compassion.
Thank you, Heather, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
