Heather is an experienced and compassionate nurse. One evening stands out.
A self-proclaimed alcoholic was admitted to the ICU after her neighbors reported not seeing her in over a week. She was found on her couch in unsanitary conditions. Heather stayed with me (a colleague) to help get her clean and comfortable. She went above and beyond as she scrubbed behind unkempt finger nails. I was very thankful for Heather as she helped me with a patient who was unable to help herself.
Working with Heather is great as she consistently gives excellent professional nursing care regardless of the patient’s circumstance. I nominate Heather for the DAISY Award.
