My husband was taken to St. Joseph's ER by ambulance. His care there was excellent, and ER staff monitored him closely for two days as ICU and PCU were full. He had surgery two weeks prior on his leg to repair his ACL, torn meniscus, and have a donor tendon placed that had gone well. However, when coming to ER, he found that he had A-fib, V-tach and a pulmonary embolism that was saddled between both lungs, and had a heart rate of about 200. They said he was very sick and told him the first hour was critical.
After two days in ER, PCU became available and he was transferred. His care in PCU continued to be good and we wanted to acknowledge one nurse, in particular, who went above and beyond, who went out of her way to give very good care and tried to keep my husband at ease and understand what was going on. Heather Dolan is not only a good nurse, but a really nice person, and your hospital is blessed to have her on staff!
