Heather Donaldson, FNP-c, MSN, RN

I recently had a stay in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Heather Donaldson was one of the many excellent people that attended to me. I would like to commend her because of her care, knowledge, skills and warm smiles. I will always remember this experience.

There are two specific memories that stay with me. First, she was exceptionally patient with me when I asked her about the pharmacokinetic differences of various anticoagulants and she answered with expert detailed knowledge, all the while smiling and never missing a beat on performing her work. I have a very deep science and engineering background, hence I tend to want to ask a lot of very detailed questions that sometimes irritate people. But not Heather, she quickly engaged me and answered at a level of detail, I would say is not common even among medical professionals and she was always smiling.

The second time was the following day when she rescued me from the emergency department after I had been there for 12 hours and they still had not figured out a way to stop a small blood leak. Heather fixed it in minutes! She is simply awesome!
