Heather is always comforting and demonstrating extraordinary expertise and kindness. She has brought stuffed animals in for patients and most recently brought in clothing for a patient who had no means to buy clothing and who needed some. She also cut a long term patient's hair and he and his family were "blown" away. She listens and is passionate about her work and her patients, their loved ones and staff! She cries with them, sits with them and makes them feel special.

Heather is a compassionate caregiver, showing respect to all with whom she comes in contact. She is very therapeutic with patients and families ensuring them of the great care that they come to expect at Elkhart General. She is calm under pressure, detail-oriented and knowledgeable. Heather's sense of humor helps to lighten the mood even in difficult situations. Her co-workers respect her and seek her out for problem solving. She is a great team leader, always uses her time wisely, and she never disappoints!
