Heather is an excellent nurse who always put her heart and soul into taking care of each and every one of her patients. Heather is compassionate and empathetic to both the patients and their families.
There are several instances in which I have personally witnessed Heather exhibit these skills. I have seen Heather bring in and play CD’s from her personal collection for patients who are on ventilators when their family members tell her about what kind of music the patient likes.
On another occasion Heather was faced with end of life care. Her interactions with the family helped them through this tough time. She was able to help them be strong, but still bond and even cry with them. She always seems to be able to help not only patients, but their families express what they are feeling and often deal with those emotions.
