Heather has a profound impact on patients. Time and time again she has provided a vital role in our moms' and dads' healing process after a fetal demise or death, one of the most heartbreaking times of their lives. Heather has the heart and talent to make the most beautiful castings of babies' hands and feet. She also takes beautiful pictures of these babies and precious hand and footprints. (This can be difficult to accomplish.) Parents are so grief-stricken they often aren't really aware of what is being done or said, but they always remember that a nurse was going to make cast/molds of their baby's hands and feet. They ask frequently where the molds are. Heather ensures all keepsakes are perfect before given to the parents. She has come in on her own time to do this, if necessary. She does all of this on her own initiative to deliver such compassionate care. The patients leave with something so beautiful to remember their baby by.
