As someone diagnosed with Cancer in 2020 during a pandemic when you spend your doctor’s visits alone, it was a pleasant surprise to be greeted by a whole floor of nice people, but especially my main nurse during my infusions, Heather. She has always been the friendliest during my visits. She talks to you and she doesn't have to; she could just as easily keep it clinical and only talk "health talk" when she is in your room but she actually engages you in conversation outside of that. She is patient and kind; she like everyone else there always asks if there is more they can do. And while much of this journey can seem overwhelming, including the $2.5k bills I get after each session, her demeanor and smile greeting you each time eases any burden you may be carrying with you.
