Heather is one of the most caring nurses I have ever worked with. She comes to work every day with a great attitude and a helpful spirit. I observe her helping her colleagues all of the time. She is compassionate with her patients and kind and nurturing to their families. Today she was solely responsible for the improvement of a patient. The patient had been struggling to improve his ventilator settings. Without any prompting, Heather helped get him up in a chair, encouraged him to cough and take deep breaths. He quickly improved and was extubated all due to Heather. Any patient is incredibly lucky when Heather is assigned to their care!
