On the first day of my scheduled C-section, I was a nervous wreck. From the moment Heather entered into my and my daughter’s care, I felt immediately at peace. I’ve lost two kids in the past year, and my anxiety was at an all-time high. I was prescribed specific medication that needed coordinated care between doctors, and I’m not exaggerating when she took all her time to make sure I had everything I needed. She was so kind, and her constant observation of us went above and beyond her duties. She talked to me like a friend and cared for us as a mother would. She was gentle about what I’ve gone through and gave constant reassurance that I would be okay. She sat and talked with me and helped me with the baby when times got overwhelming. I trusted her to take care of my daughter, which was out of character for me.
