Heather is an amazing nurse and health care provider. She has gone above and beyond all expectations. She is incredibly devoted to patient care and has the type of spirit that exemplifies the core values of WellSpan. As a physician, I have worked with hundreds of nurses in a wide variety of clinical settings and units. Heather is at the very pinnacle of those that I have seen. She is pleasant, careful, kind, thoughtful, and very much insightful.

In an era of health care where checklists and protocols dominate clinical care, Heather’s knowledge base and insight into clinical nursing provide her patients with a valuable resource of care and knowledge that is key in a critical care setting.

In caring for me, she provided regular updates and multiple opportunities to enhance care and went above and beyond in her duties. She is an incredible asset to this institution. She had provided me care in a medically critical situation where I had a life-threatening situation where I had a significant blood clot in a major vessel of the abdomen supplying my small bowel. Swift diagnosis and resection of the loop of the dead bowel most certainly saved my life.
