The hospital supervisor nominated Heather and said Heather kindly and quietly explained to a patient, who had critical lab values, why she should not leave against medical advice (AMA). Heather went to great lengths to persuade the patient to stay. Without Heather's intervention, the patient would not have been here for an additional two days. The supervisor knew Heather "truly cared for her" and "Mercy Health is blessed to have Heather on staff".
