When I was admitted to the hospital. Heather was my nurse and made me feel very comfortable. She explained everything that I needed to know about my care in an understanding manner. She was explaining it on a level that I could understand. Heather has such a great attitude and bedside manner. She's always smiling, I loved how she remembered things and I didn't even have to ask. She checked on me all the time and made my stay feel wonderful. Thank you, Heather, for taking such great care of me.

Heather recently took care of a patient that was having issues. When Heather started taking care of the patient she immediately noticed that he couldn't stay awake. She took action asking the sitter to help keep him alert. She contacted the doctors and suggested a change in his medication. Once the medications were changed the patient started walking the halls and waving.
Heather's great care didn't stop there. She took initiative to provide education to the nurses and sitters. Her interventions and the education that she provided her team helped the patient to recover faster while allowing him to stay alert.
It is nurses like Heather who strive to do the right thing for our patients and make TMC the best place to receive care.
