Heather was recognized by a patient for her kindness and expertise in wound care nursing. The patient commended Heather for her professionalism, stating, “She knows the field of wound care like no other.”
The patient was equally moved to nominate Heather for her bedside manner, saying, “She is so sweet, caring, loving, and compassionate. She doesn’t seek attention or fanfare, but she deserves it all.”
The patient shared that they were especially touched when Heather visited them at their inpatient rehabilitation hospital after discharge from Select Specialty Hospital. In closing, the patient summarized the impact of her care by saying, “To me, she’s the world’s greatest wound care nurse and the world’s greatest person.”
