In a very stressful situation where the patient was admitted with significant clots in the bladder, Heather Marchlewski not only spent meticulous time and energy to aspirate clots manually repeatedly from the catheter but did so with timeliness and compassion. Meanwhile during the at-least two long days of care with continuous bladder irrigation, Heather advocated strenuously for the patient to get the procedure that he needed. She performed her nursing skills in an extraordinary manner and went above and beyond what the average nurse might have done in a similar situation. We are eternally grateful to Heather and all her colleagues for being able to identify what needed to be done and carrying them through to the very best outcomes that could have been achieved. Heather is patient, kind and skillful and we cannot say enough to express our gratitude for all she has done. Heather is an asset to the BJC family.
