September 2022 Honoree
Heather McFarland, RN
When I met Heather, it was the second day I was in pain and nauseous and she helped me so much. Heather took time to show me how to measure my liquids and keep track of my intake. She also encouraged me to get out of bed and walk around. I made space in my room while I was there and began to walk around the room with my IV machine.
When Heather came back to check on me, she was amazed at my progress and I told her she really motivated and inspired me to get strong, get out of bed, and go home. When I was discharged, Heather personally took me to the pharmacy in a wheelchair and carried my bag to meet my daughter outside. Heather cares about her patients and co-workers, and she made me feel so special and so worthy and this was just all in one day! Thank you!
