Heather was nominated by a nurs leader for this award. She went above and beyond for a patient that passed away from COVID-19. During the patients admission re prematurely gave birth at 30 weeks. Shortly after giving birth she was transferred to the ICU to battle COVID-19. Heather works in the ICU...due to the critical nature of the mom she recorded the moms heart beat and placed it in a build a bear for the baby in the NICU. The mother sadly passed away but the baby will forever have her mom's heart beat.
