I have spent a lot of time at VM over the years. I have spent time on just about every floor now and I can say hands down that the 15th floor nurses not only care about the work they do, but they care about their patients. I had the pleasure to work with Heather for many nights. The first night we met not only was she friendly but she took the time to listen to my story. She not only did her job but she took the time to make me feel like she really cared about what was happening with me. The next two nights I was happy to see her again, she continued to let me know where she was with my doctors and what the plan was and kept me in the loop. Each day, she came with a big smile and always asked me what she could do for me and if I had any issues. She kept checking in on me and it made me feel as if I am one of her family members with the way we talk to each other and joke around at times. I hate that she had to have a day off because she is just amazing in how she cares for me.
