Heather was one of the nurses caring for my dad during his hospital stay. Every day that he was her patient, she went above and beyond expectations to inform and teach him about his condition. She would spend extra time talking with him, making him feel like more than just a patient. She would even do more than was required in maintaining his personal hygiene while in the hospital. She treated him like family, providing the best possible care. One evening after visiting my dad, I talked with Heather about how my dad was doing. She was willing to stay and chat as long as I needed to feel like all my questions had been answered. But unexpectedly, she asked how I was doing. She genuinely cared and understood the toll that a sick family member can take on caretakers. She treated my dad and me with such great compassion. I can’t say thank you enough for how her great level of care pushed my dad to want to get better and gave me peace about who was taking care of him. Heather is an exemplary nurse.
