Heather P Richards, BSN, RN, CPAN

Heather is a quiet presence who advocates for her patients. She is calm and compassionate. Her knowledge base and ability to transfer that knowledge into exemplary patient care is a standard of excellence. She is an asset in any situation. She is committed to her colleagues, working daily to improve patient care and nurse knowledge. Her bedside manner is a model for others to aspire to. She works well with all members of the team and advocates for her patients in a respectful, collaborative manner.

Her work to enhance our work environment, above and beyond the day-to-day care of patients, includes a member of the UPC, co-chair of the UPC, preceptor, charge nurse, member of the Community Partnership and Magnet committees. She has played a valuable role in policy review and development and safe patient care.
