Nurse Heather showed a great amount of professionalism and grace while she was caring for my husband. She listened to his answers to her questions and always followed up if she felt he was misunderstanding her due to his ongoing health conditions that produced concentration and memory issues. She validated his concerns and complaints about having to stay in the hospital longer than he thought and not by the doctor's advisement. She listened but was politely firm and unwavering in her responses to him. She was a body in motion the 2 days that she was our nurse on daylight shift. She put others before herself and if she said she would follow up -you could count on it. My husband put quite a bit of pressure on her to get him out of there when it was not her call to make but she handled it well and didn't let it bother her, externally anyway, but I bet she slept exceedingly well the two nights after she cared for T. We sincerely appreciate her and highly recommend her for the DAISY Award. Ms. Heather exemplified exactly what WMH should want its RNs to exhibit. We can't say enough good things.
