We had a patient on the unit that was actively dying and the family could not be reached. Heather clocked out after working all night and sat with the patient so he would not be alone. She also worked with the primary nurse to try to locate a phone number for his significant other. They attempted to call but were unsuccessful so Heather continued to sit with him and talk with him to help him relax.
